Who You’ll Be Learning From

Patrick Ryan Heaney
Patrick has taught audio engineering and music production for over 16 years, including at San Diego State University and the University of San Diego. Alongside teaching, he’s spent more than 22 years working professionally as a producer, engineer, and composer.
His work spans Billboard-charting records and collaborations with artists such as Skrillex, Tiësto, Icona Pop, CHVRCHES, and Lord Huron, as well as music for major films, television shows, commercials, and video games including Night at the Museum, Pitch Perfect 2, Hawaii Five-O, Dancing with the Stars, 7UP, Lexus, Under Armour, and League of Legends.
Patrick’s experience across modern classical, EDM, pop, indie, post-rock, and electronic music makes these classes especially valuable for students who want both creative growth and professional-level skills.
